Tickets for Gratitude now available

Welcoming Gratitude to Paradise is a key part of our summer events programme and a fitting tribute to the many NHS and other key workers who have worked so hard on our behalf over the past eighteen months.

Visitors to the Gratitude exhibition will be able to listen to real-life stories and poems about key workers, a selection of which have been recorded by some well-known voices. The voiceovers are from people like Adil Ray, Hugh Bonneville, Sarah Parish, Norman Cook, Christopher Eccleston, Julie Hesmondhalgh, John Thomson, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Shobna Gulati and KT Tunstall.

From touching tributes to doctors and staff at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, to a light-hearted story about a dedicated deputy head striving to keep her pupils happy, listeners will be taken on a journey of quiet reflection whilst observing some stunning artwork.

Be sure to check out Paradise Birmingham’s own artwork, ‘Nation’s Embrace’ by artist Holy Moly, who has created a colourful and inclusive piece that reflects the city’s collective thanks to NHS and key workers for their incredible hard work.

Gratitude Birmingham takes place from 20 – 30 August in Chamberlain Square and tickets are free. However, visitors must reserve a ticket in advance for an allocated time slot in order to see the exhibition that includes more than 50 statues.

Each time slot lasts 45 minutes and timings for the exhibition are:

Monday – Thursday: 11:00 – 19:00, with the last entry at 18:15.

Friday – Sunday and Bank Holidays: 10:00 – 18:00, with the last entry at 17:15.

Tickets are available from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/gratitude-birmingham-tickets-164220966331
