Children from Nelson Primary School visit Paradise

Fifteen children from Nelson Primary School visited us recently to see the Paradise garden and meet our busy bees.

The children from years 2,3,4,5 came specifically to help our bee keeper collect the frames from the hives. They then watched as the frames were added to the extraction drum to process the honey.

They excitedly looked on as the honey was poured into jars and took some home with them to taste. The children are hoping to have their own hives to look after at school soon to go along with the 8 goats they already take care of!
