Eversheds Sutherland begins countdown to Paradise
The countdown to Eversheds Sutherland’s move into Three Chamberlain Square has begun, with the firm officially taking possession of its new Birmingham home ahead of a planned summer 2027 relocation.
The global law firm will relocate its 500-strong Birmingham team across two floors of the award-winning premises, reinforcing its longstanding commitment to the city, whilst creating a future-focused workplace designed around collaboration, wellbeing and client experience.
The move represents a significant investment in both people and place by Eversheds Sutherland whose roots in Birmingham stretch back more than 100 years.
Part of the Paradise estate in the heart of Birmingham city centre, Three Chamberlain Square is widely recognised as the city’s most sustainable commercial office building. Designed by award-winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBS) and constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine, the building has secured a range of leading sustainability and environmental credentials, including BREEAM Outstanding, NABERS 5-Star, and ActiveScore and WiredScore Platinum certifications.
The 189,000 sq ft building was fully let within months of practical completion in summer 2025 and is already home to CBRE and Forvis Mazars, while EY is currently fitting out its space.
The development showcases the latest in sustainable building design and innovation, underlining the commitment of Paradise and Federated Hermes MEPC to deliver pioneering low-carbon commercial space in Birmingham.

Emma King, Eversheds Sutherland’s Birmingham Senior Office Partner, said:
Taking possession of our new premises at Three Chamberlain Square is a genuinely exciting moment for us. Birmingham has been at the heart of our story for more than a century, and this move reflects our confidence in the city and our ambition for the future here.
“We are creating a space that brings our people together, supports flexible ways of working and offers clients a welcome that reflects who we are as a firm. It also aligns with our sustainability commitments and will be a workplace our people can be proud of.
“The countdown to 2027 starts now, and we’re looking forward to bringing our Birmingham team into an exceptional new environment in the centre of one of the UK’s most dynamic business communities.”

Rob Bullough, Chief Workplace Officer, Eversheds Sutherland, said:
Our approach for Three Chamberlain Square mirrors a broader premises strategy that we’re taking across our global portfolio: investing in workplaces that are thoughtfully designed, right-sized for the future and create engaging, productive environments for our people.
“We’re focused on creating spaces which enhance collaboration and deliver a client experience that truly reflects who we are as a firm. Alongside a number of projects we’re delivering around the world, Birmingham is an important part of that journey, helping us create a consistent workplace experience globally, whilst retaining a strong character and identity locally.”
Ross Fittall, Commercial Development Director at Paradise developer and asset-manager MEPC, the specialist development arm of Federated Hermes, said:
This marks an important milestone for Three Chamberlain Square and Paradise as we hand over the final two floors of office space to Eversheds Sutherland to create a highly sustainable and engaging workplace as part of its ongoing local and global investment in its people and clients.
“At Paradise and Three Chamberlain Square, it will benefit from a world-class destination in the heart of the city, where like-minded organisations come together within a thriving business ecosystem, complemented by outstanding connectivity and amenities on the doorstep.”
The Birmingham move forms part of Eversheds Sutherland’s ongoing investment across its international office network, ensuring its workplaces continue to support colleagues, clients and the communities in which the firm operates.
As work begins on creating its new Birmingham home, the firm will now focus on transforming the space ahead of its planned move in summer 2027.
