The
Octagon
More sides to city living
A world first for Birmingham
The Octagon is the world’s first purely octagonal high-rise residential building, creating an instantly recognisable addition to the skyline that will become as iconic as other modernist city landmarks such as the Rotunda.
Rising to a height of 155 metres, the tower is Birmingham’s tallest building, providing residents with unprecedented views of the cityscape and beyond.

Uniquely appealing
The Octagon houses 370 purpose-designed Build-to-Rent homes across its 49 storeys, offering a mix of one, two and three-bedroom options, including affordable homes. Amenities on the ground floor of the building will bring life and activity to the street frontages, as well as convenience and well-being support for residents.
Designed by Birmingham-based Howells Architects, the building’s unique shape creates apartments that are larger, wider and lighter than conventionally shaped equivalents, with large opening windows that frame the exceptional vistas of city life.

Enhancing the city’s skyline
The visual design of The Octagon mirrors the neighbouring Jewellery Quarter, embodying its historical and contemporary industrial workshops.
Sitting at the northern apex of the Paradise site and overlooking Summer Row, The Octagon takes full advantage of its prime location on the Birmingham ridge, an area of higher ground in the city centre. With its impressive stature and distinctive aesthetic, the tower is a high-profile addition to the skyline that is visible across the entire city and beyond.

Life from a new vantage point
The Octagon is a new landmark for Birmingham, rising above the city’s tallest. With festivals at your fingertips, heritage on hand, nightlife nearby and restaurants round the corner, the whole city is your neighbourhood.
