Bringing the vision to life

Paradise is an exemplar of public-private partnership delivering real economic value to a city and region. The Paradise Birmingham partners have all worked tirelessly to bring about a transformational development that will contribute jobs and inclusive growth to the city and its citizens for years to come.

MEPC took over the developer-manager role from Argent in July 2021 to deliver Phases Two and Three, retaining the team that have so successfully brought the project to fruition. Federated Hermes Private Markets is the private sector investor working together with Birmingham City Council and the Enterprise Zone as public delivery partners.

As part of Federated Hermes Private Markets, MEPC has a long track record of working together to create destinations where community can flourish.

The council’s vision for the future of Birmingham is for a place of inclusive growth, in which every child, citizen and neighbourhood matters. Recognising the potential of its city centre landholding led the council to establish the Paradise Birmingham Joint Venture in 2013 to bring forward the Paradise scheme as the UK’s largest city centre redevelopment project.
