MEPC takes space at Two Chamberlain Square
A new office has opened at Two Chamberlain Square, housing the development and asset management team leading Paradise Birmingham, MEPC.
Providing open floorplates of 24,000 sq ft, Two Chamberlain Square provides a bright, spacious and flexible working environment, with the highest specification for today’s business needs.
Urban regeneration specialist MEPC has taken space on the fifth floor of the building, in the heart of Birmingham, a move that will help showcase not only Paradise, but the work of its wider national development teams as it seeks further opportunities in the region.
The space includes a new marketing suite for the Paradise project, helping the company tell the story of the next phases of development, as well as providing a curated space for events.
MEPC will be joining DLA Piper, Knights, Mazars, Atkins, Cazenove Capital and Cubo at Two Chamberlain Square, one of Birmingham’s most successful professional services hubs.

“Our development and asset management teams will now be based at the heart of Paradise, helping us serve our existing occupiers and tenants, as well as welcoming new ones. Our primary focus remains on delivering a highly successful new piece of the city and the team continues to work hard on bringing forward phase two and phase three of the development.
“Our former home at 77 Paradise Circus Queensway is well on its way to becoming Octagon, a world-first tower for Birmingham, and as Paradise continues to change and evolve into a new destination for the city, we will be actively taking our place within it.”
Paradise has seen a number of landmark moments over the past year, including a string of new lettings with both office and leisure occupier announcements.
In March, the third building at the development, One Centenary Way, held an official ‘topping out’ event, attended by more than 150 guests. This new commercial building is bringing 280,000 sq ft of space to the city. Global built environment advisor Arup has already signed up as the first office occupier and will take 68,000 sq ft of space across three floors of the building. Arup is due to move 1,000 colleagues into the building during 2023.
This latest development follows other planning approvals. Birmingham City Council recently awarded permission for Three Chamberlain Square, a highly sustainable new commercial building on Paradise Street, as well as a new 17-storey, 152-bedroom hotel on the corner of Paradise Street, plus new public realm that will complete Phase Two of Paradise.
Works are also currently underway on the world-first Octagon apartment tower at the northern apex of the site.
The new public realm, designed by Grant Associates landscape architects, will build on the success of the refreshed Chamberlain Square, Congreve Street and Centenary Way, which helped form Phase One of the development.
As an important contributor to regional growth, Paradise is committed to creating high quality, new pedestrian streets and squares for everyone to enjoy, as well as improving pedestrian and public transport links across the city.
Early work on the access and transport links around Paradise were supported by Greater Birmingham Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP).
Paradise has already completed phase one of the development with One Chamberlain Square wholly occupied by PwC and Two Chamberlain Square providing some of the best views in Birmingham, with stunning vistas across Chamberlain Square itself and of the city’s impressive Classical and Victorian civic architecture. Dishoom, Rosa’s Thai Café and Albert’s Schloss will be joined this summer by Yorks Café, along with wine bar and Mediterranean eatery Vinoteca.
